What do you do with
the part of the ash gourd that’s attached to the seeds? We make dosas. If you

Lets get to making this dosa.
Ingredients:
- ½ cup ash gourd geerey(this is the soft part that is stuck along with the seeds)
- 1.5 cups of dosa/idli/sonamasuri rice
- 1/4 cup urad dal
- ¼ th tsp methi seeds
- Salt to taste
- Oil for frying
Method
Wash and soak dosa rice, urad dal and methi seeds in enough water for 4 to 5 hours.
Then grind to a fine paste adding the ash gourd pieces without adding water.
As the ash gourd pieces have its own water and will release water as its ground.
Remove the batter and add salt.
Ferment overnight.
Heat a dosa tawa, add a tsp of oil
Then add a ladle full of batter,Spread into a thin dosa .
Allow it to crisp and your kuvale polo is ready.
Serve with chutney or sambar of your choice.
Aps Notes:
Instead of kuvale geerey that’s the pith you can add ash gourd pieces to this.
Instead of rice you can replace it with millets.
