Sometimes a cheat dish like this is Creamy no?
I make such creamy pasta very rarely, but when I do the
kids enjoy it to every extent.
Let’s get to making the pasta
INGREDIENTS TO MAKE THE RECIPE
To cook pasta
Pasta
1 liter Water
2 tsp Salt
1 tsp Oil
For the Sauce
500ml Milk
3 Tbsp All-Purpose Flour (Maida)
3 Tbsp Butter
1 tsp Oil
Salt to taste
6-7 Garlic Cloves
1/2 tsp Black Pepper
1/4 th cup parmesan cheese
1 tsp Italian Herbs
1/2 tsp Chilli Flakes
2 Tbsp Fresh Cream
A tbsp of freshly chopped parsley (if available)
Vegetables if using
Method:
Let’s prepare the pasta
Heat water in a large dish add salt and add pasta to it. Add a teaspoon of Oil to prevent the pasta from sticking and cover the pot and cook until it's al dente i.e., cooked so as to be still firm when bitten. Then drain the water and set it aside.
Heat the butter and oil in a pan. While the butter is melting, add the grated garlic to it and sauté on a medium flame for less than a minute.
Add all-purpose flour. Sauté for a while, stirring it constantly over low heat till the flour mixes well with garlic.
Then add milk and mix it well till no lumps are formed.
Add the mixed Italian herbs like oregano, red chilli flakes, black pepper powder and salt to taste (make sure you add less salt at first as cheese will contain salt and we’ve added salt while cooking pasta too).
Add Cheese and cream to the sauce and mix well. Stir continuously and cook on a medium flame for 2 minutes.
Add pasta and mix it well to coat it completely with the sauce.
Garnish with freshly chopped parsley.
Creamy and delicious Pasta is ready to serve.
Aps Notes:
You can add vegetables to this as soon as the sauce is ready or keep it plain.
