Mutter Aloo Gobi

Aloo Gobi Matar - Gravy
  • 1 tbsp Oil
  • 1 tsp Cumin Seeds
  • 1/2 tsp Hing
  • 2 tsp Ginger Finely chopped
  • 2 tsp Green chilli Finely chopped
  • 1 big Onion Finely chopped
  • `1 large tomato finely chopped
  • 1 ½  tsp Coriander powder
  • 1 tsp Turmeric powder
  • 2 tsp Red chilli powder
  • 1/2 tsp Garam masala powder
  • 1 cup Potato / Aloo peeled and Cubed
  • 1/2 cup Peas preferably fresh if not available soak peas overnight and cook till done
  • 2 cups Cauliflower / Gobi Cut into small florets
  • Salt to taste
  • 1 tbsp Lemon juice
  • 2 tbsp Fresh coriander Chopped
Instructions
  1. Heat oil in a pan.
  2. Once the oil is hot, add cumin seeds and hing and let it splatter for a few seconds.
  3. Add ginger and green chilli and fry for a few seconds.
  4. Add onion and fry until golden brown.
  5. Add chopped tomatoes and cook until done.
  6. Now add, coriander powder, turmeric powder, red chili powder, sauté for a minute.
  7. When done add potato, peas, cauliflower, garam masala and salt and cover and cook until done.
  8. Add 1/2 cup water while cooking.
  9. Add lemon juice and coriander and mix well.
  10. Serve hot with paratha or Roti.
