Bhenda Sagle

There are some authentic Amchi(Konkani) dishes which are my all time fav. And especially when its Sagle,  Sukke, kale nonce(roasted spices pickle) my Mamama (granny) makes it awesome…. J and no one cud ever get that taste…. Not even my MOM: P. This is one of her Awesome dish she makes, Benda Sagle.

Here is what we need: Ingredients Ladies finger/Bhendi/Okra – 15-20  cut into pieces Coconut grated - 1 cup Red chillies - 5 Tamarind - pea sized Coriander seeds - 2 tsp Mustard seeds - 1 tsp Curry leaves - 2 strands Oil - 1 tbsp Salt to taste How to prepare:
Wash the  Bhendi and cut them.
Grind together the coconut, red chillies, tamarind. In the end add the and coriander seeds and grind. The paste does not have to be too smooth. Do not add a lot of water when grinding.
Heat oil in a wide  pan. Add mustard seeds. When the seeds crackle, add the curry leaves. Now add the bhendi’s /Okra’s  in the pan. Pour  the ground masala, Mix it well, Cover and cook. Add half a cup of Water and boil until okras are cooked. Serve …

Sprouted Moong Raitha

Raita is the most commonly used Indian word for savory yogurt-based side dishes. Raitas are made by combining yogurt all kinds of grated, sprouted or chopped vegetables. Ingredients other than vegetables - like Boondi (made from gram flour) can also be used to make Raita. Raita is the perfect accompaniment for all kinds of dishes, especially spicy or hot ones as the yogurt it is made from, cuts the heat!
I never like to eat yogurt just like this neither do I like curd rice but…. I love Raitas and even Shrikand JJJ.

Here is something healthy….. Sprouted Moong Raita To sprout moong soak it for 5 hours and remove from water it will sprout the next day J Green Gram/Moong Bean Sprouts - 1 cup Pomegranate – ½ cup  Cucumber peeled and chopped - 1  Coriander Leaves - 2 tbsp chopped  Yoghurt - ½ - ¾  cup  Salt - To taste Method: Remove the skin of sprouted Moong. Stir fried Veggies

We are a kind of raw veggie freaks….. or parboiled vegetables…. And all such crunchy stuffs… Whenever I make stir fries we skip our food… and only relish stir fries…. JJJ I never added mushrooms and bok Choy as I never had them in my pantry So here is what I used:
Ingredients: ½ cup spring onion whites, cut into cubes ¾ cup baby corn, cut into wedges (parboiled) ¾ cup cauliflower florets (parboiled) ½ cup fresh corn kernels (parboiled) 1/2 cup carrots diced (parboiled) ½ cup French beans sliced (parboiled) 4 dry red chillies, broken into pieces 4 teaspoons Schezuan sauce 2 teaspoons corn flour mixed with ½ cup water A pinch sugar 1 tablespoon oil Salt to taste Method: Heat the oil in a wok or a frying pan, add the dry red chillies, cabbage and ¼ cup water and allow it to cook till the water evaporates. Chocolate Oat Cookies

I was a kind of chocolate freak but don’t know what happened to me in some years I lost the touch taste towards  chocolates…. Last month I realized it and thought how can it happen tht I m not eating chocolates …. May be reason was I was putting few extra pounds that’s  what I realized after all the serious research ….Has something like this happened with u guys????

And during all the thought I realized its been long time I used my Oven so I got to make something yum…. Nd soon the chocolate rang the bell and I welcomed it as if it was a special guest…( it was a regular one before). So here is some yum cookie recipe which we enjoyed each bite of it… This recipe is from one of my friend.

Tomato & Beetroot Soup

Its been raining cats and dog and today is the third consecutive day…. Then we got to eat or drink something Hot?? Me:Will u eat ne thing fried….. I will do it for u if u need….
