Aps Kitchen turns 1

Happy Birthday to My Aps Kitchen…. It feels like it was just the other day when I started my blog…. Nd was posting …. Peeping nd dropping by others blogs I got to kow so many recipes, tips, and more of all many friends…. Till some months back I was checking for my status, followers but now I m not bcoz I m happy tht all who visited me love my blog and appreciated my work with their lovely comments….
I wud love to thank my Dear Hubby for this bcoz he was the one who Insisted me to start a blog…. My mom who is the main person to teach me cooking lovely food….. Ujwal through who I was inspired to start a food blog, Lubna who helped me in the doubts I had…. Thank U all…..


I was just in a kinder garden when I started my blog… Now I ve stepped on to school level I can say…. Wish to have many more yrs of blogging many more blogger friends ….

My drafts have started singing a song these days tht is Aps Aps come again empty me as soon as u can…. :P I kno this a big PJ… By the way today m gona post a draft of mine which was lying from almost more than 3 months… I had prepared these when I was in Saudi….. I always read a tikka recipe I realize… ah there is one in my draft too I ve to post it… but some or the other reason I cud not…
Now tht I m a bit bz nd in my SIL’s place the thing I ve to do is post one from my draft… I m sure I will get bac with a fresh recipe soon….

Limbiya Saaru & Phanna Taak / Lime rasam & Spiced Butter milk

Hey guys hope u r in pink of health. I’d decided that 2010 I must regular in blogging….if not once in 2 days atleast once in a week or so…. I hope I can keep up to it…. Here is our Favorite Rasam and Butter Milk….. It may be my Amma, my bro or my hubby we just love it ….. I dint add my dad bcoz he doesn eat onion and garlic….
Any ways keeping all the talks aside I quickly give u the recipe

For Limbiya Saaru / Lemon Rasam
Take a big lime and squeeze out its juice…..And keep aside… remove all the seed from the juice because seeds make them bitter.

For 2 cups of Nisshe/ Starch water ( Starch water extracted after boiling rice will be the best…. I use that)if u don’t have that u can do that with normal water too Add a lemon sized jaggery, 2 slit green chillies,Salt mix well and bring it to boil… Get a proper bubble boil for 10-12 minutes, now add the extracted lime juice and boil for 5 more minutes….
In a small frying pan heat 1 tbsp ghee , add 15-16 crushed Garlic(do not mash it just beat…

Hey All !!!! b Hope U all enjoyed ur New year.. got bac to norm….. Our new yr was superb.. we had been to Jet ski, Sand dune…. Beach…nd the whole day was simply superb…. (day bcoz 31st nyt all my plans went super flop…) Ne ways leave tht aside and lemme think of wht good had happened…. M sure this yr is gonna give me new surprises nd will be a fun filled year…. Wishing the same to all….


I had always heard about Veg Frankie ….but never tasted it neither had tried it out..Its famous in Mumbai…. This is one among my Hubby’s fav’s So on spl request I googled aroung here nd there nd clubbed many posts nd got into one….. : ) ….. It was tasty nd yummy… The only thing wht happened was my roti’s very small :P……


Here is wht we need
For the Tikki –
Potatoes boied nd mashed -2
Frozen green peas boiled nd mashed – 1/4th cup
Carrot grated – 1
1 teaspoon ginger garlic paste
1 teaspoon chilli powder( add according to spice reqd)
Fresh coriander leaves finely chopped
salt to taste
